This summer on a beautiful sunny day we had the great pleasure to document Kelly and Brad’s outdoor tipi wedding held at a charming Buckinghamshire wedding venue, Tip Top Venues. “The venue lent itself perfectly to having an outdoor ceremony with the beautiful location by the lake. We also wanted to have a separate feel to the ceremony and reception despite it being one venue and having the ceremony outside enabled us to do this. Thankfully the weather didn’t disappoint and we could have it outside”, shared the Bride.

As a Buckinghamshire wedding videographer I truly enjoyed filming Kelly and Brad’s beautiful Tipi wedding. It was an amazing day full of love, great food and fun. “Our favourite moment? It’s really hard to pick just one moment as there were so many great parts of the day. One part that went surprisingly well were the speeches given that all three are somewhat reluctant speakers, they did a great job!”, said Kelly.

BRIDE’S TIPS FOR PLANNING A TIPI WEDDING

We love when our Bride and Groom share their experience about planning a tipi wedding. Here are a few tips from Kelly, our lovely Bride on how to plan an outdoor wedding by the lake. “The planning process is strange in that because it is often so long there are times when there is a lot to do and other times when you feel like you are in a bit of a lull. Some people say that planning their wedding is the best time of their lives, but for us, despite the wedding day being amazing, the process felt more like having a second job so we probably won’t miss it and don’t intend to do it again!”, explained Kelly. “It’s your wedding, no one else’s, so do what you want to do! Also, try and work out your total budget at the beginning so that you don’t end up overspending on certain parts leaving you unable to afford things that might be really important to you.”, added the Bride. “Instagram was a big source of inspiration, once you look at a few wedding videos, it’s all that the algorithm shows you! We also took inspiration from other weddings we had been to and our own imaginations”, explained Brad.
