Last summer on a beautiful sunny day we had the great pleasure to film Sharmaine and Pete’s intimate wedding held at a luxury Norfolk wedding venue, Pentney Abbey. “It was important for our wedding day not to feel like a cookie cutter typical wedding. We wanted to do what we enjoy and what felt right to us, we also wanted to feel like us for the day, but the best versions of ourselves. Of course we wanted it to be fun, we’re not very serious people, laughter is a big part of our relationship and so we wanted our wedding to be the same”, shared the Bride.

As a Norfolk wedding videographer I truly enjoyed filming Sharmaine and Pete’s beautiful intimate village wedding. It was a memorable day full of great food, colours and fun “We wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun. The most important elements to us were the ceremony and the evening party. We love to have fun and we wanted our guests to share this with us. When designing the venue, the key word was colour. Oranges and pinks were our main colour themes, so we went for a sunset pallet for the decor, with gold detailing to complement,” said Sharmaine and Pete.

What do you love as both individuals and a couple and incorporate this into your day. Spend time with each other, laugh, cry and enjoy!”, explained Sharmaine. “We really wanted our wedding to represent us. In terms of decor, we actually took inspiration from our home which we had recently renovated, the style that we like is classic with a modern edge. We love plants and flowers so wanted this to be a feature of the day”, added the Bride.

PENTNEY ABBEY WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

It was such an honour to film the recent Pentney Abbey Wedding. This luxury Norfolk wedding venue with its truly magical setting, provided a perfect backdrop to Sharmaine and Pete’s Norfolk barn wedding video. “We booked Pentney Abbey without actually seeing it in person! We fell in love with the venue, we thought it would be the perfect place for our wedding. The architecture of the Gatehouse in particular really blew us away, it almost has a castle feel to it, so you really feel like it is a special place to hold your special day. The Unique Venues team were also amazing. We were never keen to go with a package wedding, however Maddy, our wedding coordinator, was welcoming and very accommodating of all our weird and wonderful ideas which really made our wedding feel unique to us”, explained Sharmaine.
