Moor Park Wedding

The Wedding of Lauren and James

Celebrating the fact they had been together ten years to the day, Lauren and James decided to mark the occasion by getting married. The romance was certainly in the air and filling the beautiful surrounding as Lauren and James chose the romantic Moor Park Mansion for their wedding. As a wedding cinematographer, it was a thrill to film in such as beautiful and romantic location.

Grade I listed Moor Park Mansion is a beautiful venue, located in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire and is highly regarded by the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Society for its beauty and opulence.

Wedding preparation

The wedding day began with the bride and groom getting ready for the best day of their lives with their friends. The bride, Lauren, had a team of bridesmaids and bridesmen on hand for all of the wedding preparation. As hair and makeup were completed the friends and mothers celebrated with champagne and shared laughter. Once their looks were perfected, it was time to change from their personalised wedding dressing gowns and put on their beautiful dresses and suits for the ceremony.
The groom, James prepared for the wedding overlooking the stunning grounds of Moor Park Mansion. Designed by Capability Brown, the gardens and grounds are still beautifully maintained and ensure a stunning view for miles. With a colour theme linking the flowers, dresses and suits, it was clear that no detail was missed and everything was planned to perfection.

The ceremony

Taking place in a magnificent ceremony room, there are sculptures and paintings on every wall creating an intimate and lavish space that is perfect for a romantic wedding ceremony. As guests arrived, they embraced each other, with smiles all around. For wedding cinematography, it was important to soak up the atmosphere and catch the buzz of excitement and anticipation before the main event.
As Lauren entered the room, every single guest seems to burst with pride. The ceremony was touching and personal, with both the bride and grooms saying their own vows. It seemed even more poignant that they were celebrating the day of being a couple for a decade. After the civil ceremony, the couple received a Jewish blessing and celebrated with style for their Jewish wedding.

Guests were spoilt with the backdrop of beautiful grounds, stunning sculptures to admire and a harpist performing, all adding to the atmosphere. After the Jewish blessing took place, guests congregated in the magnificent grounds to throw confetti over the newly married couple.

Celebration of love

From then, it was time for the wedding breakfast, as the newlyweds entered the room the crowds cheered and applauded. Everyone is celebrating and feeling joy for the happy couple. During speeches, it was even remarked how much their friends enjoy “seeing the relationship blossom, and they were made for each other”.
Catching the couple taking time away from the celebrations to enjoy the special moment together, I was lucky enough to film then under a beautiful wisteria arch in the courtyard, which was a perfect vision of the romance and closeness of the couple. Afterwards, it was time to party. The newlyweds led the way, performing their first dance. From then, the live band entertained, and guests danced the night away celebrating the love and friendship of the start of married life.
