CUMBRIA AND LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING VIDEO
FUN RUSTIC DIY WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
Over the years we had the pleasure to film a wide variety of weddings and I can honestly say there is something comforting about a rustic wedding. A relaxed atmosphere, the bounty of nature and sturdy wood accents all that creates the warm feeling of home and being cozy. Just a perfect place to be, don’t you think? As a rustic wedding videographer I absolutely loved recording Rosie and Alex’s wedding. This nature-loving couple used Pinterest and Instagram as the inspiration for their breathtaking rustic wedding ideas. Leaves and branches as décor created a feeling of organic simplicity and comfort and only enhanced their already beautiful surroundings.
“Originally, we wanted quite a low key, casual wedding with the option to add a lot of our own customisation but we both have big families so our guest list got pretty large, pretty quickly! We tried to keep the casual, rustic wedding vibe even when guest numbers started increasing rapidly”, said Rosie. It was a pleasure to film Alex and Rosie’s perfect wedding and we truly enjoyed creating a rustic wedding video for them.
CUMBRIA AND LAKE DISTRICT WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
Rosie and Alex’s wedding day started from recording Bride and Groom’s morning preparations. Rosie looked absolutely stunning in her Georgina Bridal wedding dress from Lulu Browns. Throughout the wedding day we focused on capturing the connection between two people who are in love and all the joy that surrounded them. Our focus was to create a beautiful wedding day story through video by simply following the natural flow of the day and letting the Bride and Groom as well as their wedding guests enjoy their time together without any obstructions from us.
The location of Rosie and Alex’s wedding was absolutely stunning! A beautifully decorated marquee situated at the shore of Lake Windermere created the ultimate natural backdrop to Alex and Rosie’s Cumbria and Lake District wedding video. Without a doubt, breathtaking scenery and natural surroundings give a sense of more of an adventure than simply an event for everyone who had the pleasure to celebrate Rosie and Alex’s Big Day! As the Cumbria and Lake District videographer I truly enjoy documenting Rosie and Alex’s beautiful rustic wedding.
“Lots of our guests were travelling a long way so we wanted somewhere that could accommodate them all in the same place for a whole weekend. Doing this in a conventional venue would have been very pricey so we had to think outside the box. Our family owns a farm shop and butchers and some family friends own a vineyard in France. We wanted to use our own suppliers for food and drink and we are also very creative and had lots of ideas that we wanted to incorporate, so all of that suited a DIY wedding venue best. We loved the fact that all of our guests could stay in the venue all weekend at the YMCA and the views across Lake Windermere from the lawn were just awesome! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful during the planning process and were so keen to help us organise a Glastonbury style festival/sports day the day after the wedding, which went down a storm”, shared Rosie.
BRIDE’S TIP FOR PLANNING A DIY RUSTIC WEDDING
With such a beautiful rustic wedding we could not help ourselves but asked the Bride if she has any advice for couples who are planning a DIY rustic wedding. “DIY wedding is fun but it takes A LOT of planning and organising (and doesn’t always end up being a cheaper option!) – getting someone experienced to run everything on the day is a must if you want everything to run smoothly and your ideas to come to life the way you planned”, explains Rosie.
REASON TO HIRE A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
If you are not sure if you should hire a wedding videographer check out Rosie and Alex’s reason on why having a wedding videographer to capture your special day on film is a great idea. “Photos are amazing but they don’t capture the day the same way a video does. Some of our friends had a videographer for their wedding and said it was the one thing they were most glad they spent their money on”, said Rosie.
As always it was a great pleasure to work with Jo Bradbury Wedding Photographer
