This April on a beautiful sunny day we had the great pleasure of documenting Natalie and Dan’s beautiful civil wedding held at one of the best Cheshire wedding venues, The Holford Estate. “We were aiming for a timeless Spring wedding with blues, oranges and soft neutrals. We’d describe it as a relaxed day all about us and the people we love. Everything about the day was a mix of our favourite things, from coffee to crazy golf, Italian food and 90’s music. We tried to share the story behind everything we had planned with our guests in our wedding programme too. It’s all in the details!”, shared the Bride.”We took inspiration from the things we’d choose for our home! Our cake was a homage to the kind of abstract modern art and sculpture that we both love, and the colours of the flowers are the colours in our garden”, added Natalie.

As a Cheshire wedding videographer I truly enjoyed filming Natalie and Dan’s beautiful spring Holford Estate wedding. It was an amazing day full of fun, heartfelt emotions and joy and we loved capturing it all. “The ceremony was our favourite moment! Neither of us had thought too much about the ceremony, it’s just the legal thing you have to do before you can get to the good stuff but we had some readings and we wrote our own vows so the whole thing felt really personal, and it was very emotional! We hadn’t even asked for it to be recorded specifically because we were so unenthused about it beforehand but afterwards we realised that it’s the part we both loved the most!”, shared Natalie.

Set within 130 acres of tranquil Cheshire countryside, this stunning historic venue provided a unique backdrop for a beautiful spring wedding of Natalie and Dan. “We got married at The Holford Estate, which is a beautiful venue with the most beautiful gardens. The biggest thing that drew us to Holford though was the team there. We felt so welcomed, so special and so well looked after. For us it was all about the people!”, explained the Bride.

BRIDE’S TIPS FOR PLANNING A PERFECT SPRING WEDDING

We love when our Bride shares her experience with planning a perfect spring wedding. Here are a few tips from Natalie, our lovely Bride on how to plan a beautiful spring at Holford Estate. “We enjoyed the planning process, because we started early and tried to do things bit by bit. We booked the wedding venue 15 months out and then because our wedding day was a Saturday we prioritised vendors who can only do one wedding in a day (photographer, videographer, musicians) before moving on to vendors that can do more than one wedding in a day (florists, cake etc.) We planned every detail together, so the day was a perfect combination of everything we both love”, explained Natalie. “The main piece of advice would be to do your own research, but also think about how vendors work together and ask them for recommendations. We did this twice- once with our photographer and videographers and once with the hair stylist and make up artist. We think the day ran smoother because our vendors were used to working with each other”, added Natalie.
