This spring on a beautiful sunny day we had the great pleasure to document Grace and Adam’s classic and elegant wedding held at one of the most enchanting Kent wedding venues, The Orangery. ” We were fairly relaxed throughout the planning process!  We had an 18 month engagement, so we were able to take this at a leisurely pace and really enjoy it.  The first thing we sorted was our venue, which was actually quite different to the direction we thought we would go down (London Town Hall followed by a pub reception) but we fell in love with the Orangery”, said the Bride. “We had in mind a theme that was a bit of a nod to New York, which is where we got engaged, with respect to the colours, food/drink and style of the venue.  We wanted the colour palette to be based around Gold and colours that complement this, for example, rust/peach/champagne.  We felt the flowers and the bridesmaids dresses did this perfectly.  We also thought there were elements of “Art Deco” in style, e.g. the Orangery main building/arched windows, tied in with the large gold-framed mirror homing our table plan, etc.”, expained Grace. “My advice for Couples who are planning their Kent wedding: Not to worry too much about the little things and to enjoy it; make decisions together and share the load”, shared Grace.

As a Kent wedding videographer, I truly enjoyed filming Grace and Adam’s The Orangery wedding. It was an amazing day full of fun, love and great food. “One of our favourite moments of the day? When I came down the aisle and (finally!) saw Adam. That was mine too!””, said Grace and Adam. “The most important thing for us was to ensure our guests had fun and that we could really enjoy the day – this factored into our decision to have two different bands and a DJ!  We also wanted the day to be personal to us, so we had considered this in some of the finer details – e.g. the wedding favours we made ourselves by decanting our own bespoke Gin recipe into glass bottles for people to take home”, added Grace.

THE ORANGERY WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

It was a great pleasure to be The Orangery wedding videographer. This magnificent a multi-award-winning wedding venue in Kent with its own private lake and tumbling waterfall provided a unique backdrop for an elegant wedding of Grace and Adam. “As mentioned before, we initially thought we would choose a slightly less traditional, more low-key venue and we were thinking London, as that is where we met and there are many special places to us there.  However, we viewed the Orangery to make sure we had a “real wedding venue” as a comparison – my nail technician told me about this venue, so no huge personal reason for choosing this one!  However, we fell in love with the venue immediately and could really see ourselves getting married there.  The main Orangery building and Garden (Ceremony) room are just beautiful and it felt more special than anything else we had seen or considered – even on a grey day when we first looked around!  We also loved the grounds – the waterfall and the woodland area.  We got married in spring and could picture all the flowers starting to bloom.”, shared Grace and Adam’s.
