THE BARN AT UPCOTE WEDDING VIDEO
COTSWOLD BARN WEDDING VIDEO
This summer we had the great pleasure to document Daisy and Mark’s humanist outdoor wedding at a beautiful Cotswold wedding venue, The Barn at Upcote. “We got engaged in October 2020, when there were still lockdowns going on – so we had quite a different wedding planning experience! We didn’t get to see our wedding venue in person before we booked it. But we knew we wanted an outdoor wedding, in a space that we could make our own. And the most important thing to us was putting on a good party for our guests – enough food, enough drink and lots of fun! “, shared the Bride.
As a Cotswold wedding videographer I really loved filming Daisy and Mark’s beautiful outdoor Cotswold wedding. It was a wonderful day full of great food, games, love and happiness. “It’s so hard to say which part of our wedding is our favourite! We really loved the whole thing. Our ceremony was really special – walking down the aisle with my dad, who I’m really close to, and seeing each other for the first time was memorable for both of us. We loved how personal and unique our ceremony was, thanks to our celebrant Johnny. And we loved doing our vows, as they’d been a surprise to each other. We had the most fun with our friends and family – catching up and celebrating. We also loved each other’s speeches”, said Daisy and Mark.

BRIDE’S TIPS FOR PLANNING A COTSWOLD OUTDOOR WEDDING
“I’d always imagined getting married outside – it was one of the first things we decided on when we got engaged. We love the summer, and an outdoor ceremony fitted with the relaxed garden party vibe that we were trying to make with the day. I read lots of wedding blogs and followed a lot of wedding instagram accounts. But we generally tried to do things our way, rather than being too set on a theme or trying to replicate what we saw on social media. And we’re lucky to have lots of creative family and friends who gave us lots of ideas and helped put things together – like my bridesmaids writing our place settings and order of the day sign, and my mum making the flower girl and pageboy outfits and ties”, shared Daisy. “Try not to stress about things that you or your guests won’t notice on the day. You can worry so much (and spend so much!) about things that really don’t matter, so try to keep the big picture in mind. We’d also say that the day goes so quickly – everyone says this, but it does fly by! So make sure you’ve got a good photographer and videographer to give you the memories afterwards”, added Mark.

COTSWOLD BARN WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
It was such an honour to film the recent Cotswold Barn Wedding. This rustic Cotswold wedding venue, situated around a courtyard, provided a perfect backdrop to Daisy and Mark’s Cotswold barn wedding video. “We knew we wanted to get married near one of our families, and somewhere which would be easy for most of our friends (we live in London). I grew up in the Cotswolds, so it made sense to look for a venue there. We’re lucky that there’s lots of barn venues in the Cotswolds that you can make your own! When we saw the Barn at Upcote (online, as we couldn’t do in-person viewings because of lockdown!), we loved how remote the space was, all the beautiful outdoor space, and the fact that it was centred on a courtyard meant that it felt really intimate. We always imagined an outdoor wedding, but it was good that it had indoor options too, in case there’d been some classic British summer rain!” explained Daisy.
Dear Daisy and Mark thank you for having me as your Cotswold wedding videographer. I truly enjoyed creating your The Barn at Upcote wedding video.
REASON TO HIRE A WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER
There are many reasons to have a wedding videographer to film your Special Day. Why did Daisy and Mark decide to have their wedding recorded? “We knew that the day would fly by, and photos can only capture so much. We wanted to have a video to get a real picture of our day, that we can look back on and remember it by – and hopefully maybe share with our children one day. We’re also really looking forward to watching footage of the day that we won’t have seen ourselves – like each other getting ready, and what our guests were up to! .
