Syon Park Wedding

The Wedding Of David and Gabby
It is always a joy to learn more about a couple and found out their love story to build up a wedding film that really shines the spotlight on the couple and their love for each other. I was delighted to be asked to be the wedding cinematographer for David and Gabby after they saw me working at the wedding of their friends, Taj and Davina. The wedding day for David and Gabby couldn’t have started any better, being a sunny and warm Saturday to really set the mood their special day. After the final preparations, the bride and groom made their way to the wedding ceremony in beautiful classic wedding cars.
The wedding ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Wimbledon
David and Gabby chose to say their wedding vows in front of a packed audience in Sacred Heart Church in Wimbledon. The church was built in 1885 by the foundress Edith Arendup and the architect, Frederick Walters used a Decorated Gothic style which has made it a stunning location for weddings. It was a pleasure to film the sharing of vows in the church and capture the emotion on everyone’s face. David and Gabby showed how strong their love was, never taking their eyes off each other and saying their vows with love, conviction and heartfelt meaning. After the wedding ceremony, where David and Gabby were pronounced husband and wife, the congregation left the church to stand in the grounds and celebrate the ceremony with plenty of confetti. Both David and Gabby beamed with pride, while friends and family cheered, whooped and celebrated.
The wedding reception at Syon House
After the wedding ceremony in Wimbledon, the wedding guests then travelled to Syon Park. The incredible wedding venue which is the home of the Duke of Northumberland. Built in the 16th Century, the magnificent and majestic building had plenty of period features making it the perfect backdrop for the wedding video. The wedding reception began in the beautiful grounds of Syon House, where David, Gabby and the many wedding guests could make the most of the sun and begin the celebrations in style. String musicians performed in the grounds which really added to the romantic atmosphere of the wedding day. It was fantastic to film in the sun-dappled grounds and capture many candid shots of guests chatting, laughing and having fun. It was then time for the wedding breakfast, where guests were led through the stunning grounds into the magnificent building. Speeches were made over dinner, and I had a chance to capture the guests in their element. Sitting on large round tables, guests were able to chat, laugh and share stories of David and Gabby while the drinks flowed, and the food was brought out. Tears welled in the eyes of many guests as David said in his speech that Gabby was his ‘wife, best friend and love of my life’. Afterwards, they danced to their wedding song in the beautiful conservatory with only eyes for each other. It was a joy to film the wedding video for David and Gabby, and I hope they can look back fondly over the video and its memories for the rest of their happy lives together.
