Just a few months ago on a beautiful sunny autumn day we had the great pleasure to document Alisha and Louis’ beautiful cherry blossom wedding held at one of the best Essex wedding venues, Leez Priory. “Our wedding was a Spring in Autumn type wedding with the theme of “Let Love Bloom” (words captured on wedding favours). Throughout the wedding we had peach/pink tones with cherry blossom trees, champagne roses within bouquets, and guests pretty in pink! We tried to capture the feeling of falling softly in love in autumn months and feeling elated with a new start & our marriage ahead. Our theme also captured our love for the fairytale of love with our historical looking venue with small touches such as fireworks and song choices (some more nerdy to echo the couple’s interests and how we fell in love, and our first dance song “Sky Full of Stars” to remind us of falling in love under the stars) to encapsulate us as a pair.”, shared the Bride.

As a Essex wedding videographer I truly enjoyed filming Alisha and Louis’ beautiful Leez Priory wedding. It was an amazing day full fun, heartfelt emotions and beautiful wedding decor. “It is hard to choose one favourite moment as there are a few throughout the day. For us our vows were incredibly emotional, and we were very happy our dog Appa barked mid-way through the ceremony to save us! Him coming down the aisle was super special for us and having him there on the day is another thing we went back and forth on but it is so priceless to us now to see beautiful photos and captured moments with him as part of our family on the day as our ring bearer”, said Alisha. “Next speeches at our wedding breakfast were very emotional. I remember choosing Land of Wonder as you made a video with great focus on the dad’s speech and I knew my dad would put a lot of effort into his speech as his first daughter to get married & I was not wrong! The speeches were captured by a guest of ours but we can’t wait to hear them again!”, added the Bride. “Then finally, our biggest surprise was the fireworks & sparkler tunnel! I had seen some people create sparkler tunnels online and I thought they looked so beautiful and the pictures showed this off so well! They are some of our favourites! Same with the fireworks – we were not sure whether to go for it or not with fireworks due to the cost and so went for a simple package but even that was amazing”, shared Louis.

Here are a few tips from Alisha, our lovely Bride on how to plan a cherry blossom outdoor wedding at Leez Priory. “I’m organised as hell so for me it was an excel sheet of planning and lots of speaking with suppliers to understand what made them unique and how they could bring my vision to life. My bridesmaids, especially my maid of honour, were super helpful in setting me up with ideas, and from there I was ready to go and make a day to celebrate love.”, said Lisa. What would you advise Couples who are planning their wedding? “Start with Pinterest, explore a ton of ideas, and think about all the weddings you’ve ever been too – what you loved, what you’d change – and tie yourselves in! What makes you unique as a couple, what would you love to see in the smaller details, and capture that so you never forget it!”, added the Bride.
