COMPTON VERNEY wedding film

THE WONDERFUL WEDDING FILM OF LAURA AND ROBBIE

With every wedding I film as a wedding videographer, I see that every couple approaches a wedding in their own unique way and always put a personal stamp on their big day. I was delighted to be chosen to create the wedding videography for a lovely couple, Laura and Robbie. Perhaps the best way to describe their wedding day and style as a couple was completely carefree and giddy with excitement!

A WEDDING FILM AT COMPTON VERNEY, WARWICKSHIRE

Robbie and Laura chose the beautiful setting of Compton Verney for their wedding day. The art gallery, chapel and acres of parkland meant there really was something for every guest. Whether natural beauty from the grounds designed by Capability Brown to the stunning collection of artworks in the gallery, the wedding day had it all.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Chapel in Compton Verney, which was also designed by Capability Brown in 1776. Its beautiful white styling made the wedding really bright, airy and dreamlike, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the day. Laura said she chose the chapel, and venue as a whole as; “the rooms inside were white, which makes the space bright, clean and modern and easily adaptable to add your own colour theme. The chapel is very American-looking, and the stain-glass windows make for a dazzling display. The chapel was beautiful on its own, and the beauty of it was enhanced after decorating.”
During the ceremony, Robbie and Laura really personalised their wedding by writing and sharing their own vows. The couple’s Uncle Peter was also on hand for the family to deliver a beautiful reading. Peter read the lyrics of Love Changes Everything, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black and Charles Hart. While the words were initially for the musical, Aspects of Love, the delivery of the reading at Laura and Robbie’s wedding gave a whole new meaning and sentiment to the words, making it personal to the love story of Robbie and Laura.

“Love, love changes everything
Hands and faces, earth and sky
Love, love changes everything
How you live and how you die
Love can make the summer fly
Or a night seem like a lifetime
Yes, love, love changes everything.”

From the ceremony, the wedding day flowed with ease. Robbie and Laura were never more than a few steps away from each other but spent the majority of their time smiling, laughing and spinning each other around as they celebrated the start of their marriage and their amazing wedding day.
You could say perhaps the wedding flowed more easily than their engagement, which had several hiccups! As Laura had just started her new job, Robbie had to ask the company for time off for Laura just three weeks in. He then whisked her away to New York, only to find out at 3:30 am that the flight was cancelled. Fortunately, they were put on the next available plane, and after sightseeing in New York, Robbie got down on one knee at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park.
However, there were no hiccups for their wedding day, and it was a joy to capture the couple making the most of the big day, from kissing in the sunset to enjoying the showering of confetti and dancing the night away together, the day was perfect. And, as Robbie rightly said in his speech; “Marrying Laura is easy”.
